I cant sign into my authenticator on my mobile phone. it says i need to use an authenticator code to log in but i need to log in to get an authenticator code so i am stuck in a loop.

How to sign into a Authenticator on my app without a way to get a code.

Authenticator keeps saying "Sign in to update your backup" when I select "Settings"
On my iPad, whenever I open Authenticator and select Settings, I keep getting a popup titled ""Sign in to update your backup". When I tap the OK button, I get a popup titled "Something went wrong".

How to fix Authenticator app so I can get into my email
