Edge has WIDENED after watching Full Screen video clip.

If having watched a video clip expanded to Full Screen, upon reverting back, Edge has WIDENED substantially. It then has be 'resized' (back) to what it WAS. Does it regardless of what web site. I can find no reason nor remedy. Never had this behaviour before Edge GA 143.

I have just confirmed this applies to ALL Edge Channels AND Edge in Canary Insider Build.

Not exclusive to Edge GA nor to Win11 GA.

Any thoughts, comments are welcome.

There IS a way to fix this that Tier 3 MS Tech Support gave to pass on to you here but sadly Q&A keeps deleting the info.

Maybe, just try doing a Bing search yourselves for an Edge Fullscreen fix.

    Hopefully, this won't trigger a deletion 🤞

Interestingly, on 145.0.3800.70 and could have been also on earlier versions but didn't try, exiting fullscreen when having used F11 works fine with vertical tabs and the title bar hidden but with a caveat. Using F11 still shows the vertical tabs bar on the left but at least the window size and position returns as it were before.

Honestly, that hope was entirely reasonable. Yes let's hope for 144.

Yes, the cause is known, and it’s not random. What you’re seeing is the result of a very specific recent change in Chromium + Windows 11, which Edge inherits.
